We
use 'performance
coaching'
to help business
people gain
greater competence and most importantly, overcome any external or
internal barriers to improved performance.
Looking
at a top performers from the sports world, we find that despite being
'winners', top athletes rely on coaching to both achieve
and maintain peak performance.
It appears that the business world has
been learning from the sports world in adopting coaching as a powerful performance
tool for senior executives.
However having worked with junior and middle managers as well as
entrepreneurs, we know that all business people benefit
from applying the coaching principle to enhance both their performance,
their career or their business!
Sadly
it is a known fact that being a 'winner' in business can be very lonely! For some this loneliness
results in a lack of new insights,
perspectives and ideas. For others, lack of support, constructive feedback
or encouragement can turn the achievement of stretching new business
goals into a rather stressful experience. People may then miss out
on learning new
strategies to enhance their personal & professional growth and
development.
In
a recent survey, 84% of a total of 5700 Human Resource specialists
claimed that coaching generates improvements in individuals’
performance, targets and goals.* In addition to that, performance
coaching is a key tool that helps people respond confidently to
organisational change and experience accelerated progress in their
careers.
In
this world of rapid change just as in the world of sports, it is
easy to measure a 'win' or a 'loss'. Performance
coaching is the concept that not only provides clients
with a 'win'...a clearly measurable step-change in performance.
It also gives them a new structure that helps them achieve a life of
continuous learning and personal flexibility - two essentials for
people to stay competitive in today's fast-paced work environment.
Like
top athletes, today's and tomorrow's 'winners' may need coaching
for performance more than ever, regardless of whether they work
in a corporate environment or are solo entrepreneurs.
the
way forward...
Following
an intake session that includes a careful assessment of their current
performance, clients receive a personalised coaching programme which
will help them gain increased awareness and clarity. Supported by an external coach they are encouraged to redefine their roles
and their aims, address any 'roadblocks' and barriers to their performance, and therefore set the stage for change.
Further
details of a coaching package can be found
on the 'process' page.
We
would be happy to help you work on the next steps, please don't
hesitate to contact us.
