Feedback:

"Regular sessions with Ute enabled me to gain clarity and focus on my career. Her coaching style and corporate cultural experience helped me uncover personal development areas and potential blind spots – which we then successfully addressed before becoming an issue.”

  cross-cultural coaching & training

English and non-native English speakers working in an international environment are increasingly realising the need for a diversity of skills when liaising with professionals from different cultures. The effectiveness of people's performance in a new or different cultural environment may be limited by a gap in their cultural competence. Adequate linguistic skills are often not enough, as truly effective communication requires a much greater cultural understanding.

Coaching helps people on the move to bridge any cultural gaps they may have and succeed in a new environment.

In addition to coaching executives on their individual development areas, we can target language and cultural communication skills very effectively through tailor-made short training programmes or briefings.

An assessment tool we use is the CCAI (Cross-cultural Adaptabilty) Inventory as an instrument that helps individuals or groups identify their current strengths and weaknesses within four critical skill areas that are important for effective cross-cultural communication and interaction. By integrating individual self-assessment, observer feedback through a multi rater tool, skill building exercises and action planning, we can help provide the foundation for immediate action and ongoing development. This helps both individuals and groups to go beyond awareness and develop the communication and behavioural skills believed to be most critical to successful cross-cultural interaction.

For more information on individual coaching programmes, briefings, team events & workshops, built on the CCAI, please contact us

Additional training programmes are also available via our sister company uwk languages.
