uwk coaching was founded in 2001 by Ute Wieczorek-King, an accredited professional coach and experienced international teacher and trainer. uwk coaching joined sister company uwk languages, an established corporate language training business. 

Ute Wieczorek-King has a PGCE and a degree in English, German and Geography. Studying Psychology helped to deepen her understanding about how people learn and interact, especially when from different cultures. Since having gained a Diploma in Business Performance Coaching in 2001, she has continued to further her knowledge of coaching, training and NLP. As a native German speaker, she has lived in the UK for many years and is completely bilingual. 

Whether teaching, training, mentoring or coaching, the main focus in her work is on facilitating a process of self-directed learning, which can lead to better change management, actions and results. 

In addition to being a learning professional, Ute has a passion for facilitating positive change on many other levels. 

She co-founded 'Success Network' a women's networking group in 2005. This is a Thames Valley based networking group with almost 300 members that aims to 'Connect Women for Personal Development & Professional Success". 

Being environmentally aware, she helped to found a small pressure group that kick-started the first environment awareness and recycling campaign in her local town in the late 1980s. Being concerned with international issues, she later co-ran a children’s charity project that supported orphanages in Romania. She is currently involved in a charity fundraising project, that aims to help women and children out of poverty both in the UK and in developing countries. 

Ute is happily married with 3 children, but has personally experienced the impact of major professional and personal changes. From relocation and cultural change to career change, bereavement and ill health, she knows of and has managed many of the challenges we face in our lives. She understands the importance of dealing with stress and achieving work-life balance and is able to empathise with her clients and their aspirations for personal and professional growth.  

uwk coaching works with associates one of whom is Mary Fraser who has run Fraser HR since 2002. Mary Fraser is a fully qualified general practitioner with a wealth of experience in the HR, personal development and coaching fields.
